The 2021 La Signorina is our twelfth release of our vineyard super white blend, this year comprising of our best parcels of 37% Riesling, 37% Gewürztraminer, 24% Pinot Grigio and 2% Pinot Bianco. The varieties were planted together at high density in 2004 & 2005 on the high altitude (560-600m) east facing slope of the Casa Freschi Altezza vineyard at Ashton. Each parcel was individually hand-harvested and wild yeast fermented in old French barriques, with the gewurztraminer fermented on it’s skins for 3 weeks for extra flavour and structure, then aged on lees for eight months before bottling. A pure, vibrant, alluringly aromatic and deliciously textural white wine.
